How to File Your Montana Secretary of State Annual Report

The Montana Secretary of State’s Office makes it very easy for businesses to file an annual report. To file a report, go to the Secretary of State’s website. There, you’ll find a link that says, “File Annual Report.” To submit the report, you’ll need the folder ID for your company. This information was included with your reminder notice that the department sent reminding you of your deadline. If you do not have access to your reminder notice, you can look up your folder ID in a database located on the Montana Secretary of State’s website.

If you prefer to mail the forms, you can pull a pre-populated version of the annual report. The report contains any information that the state of Montana has on file. You should make any necessary changes and then print the forms and mail them to the Secretary of State’s office.
