Reports as low as $49 with our Total Compliance Package

The Colorado Secretary of State considers Periodic Reports to be compliance documents that help them keep track of any changes to your corporate structure. This could include changes to the names and addresses of any corporate officers, in addition to a change in your principal address. These annual reports in Colorado do not allow you to make changes to your business, such as changing your company name. As a matter of compliance, the reports only reflect any changes that have occurred since you last filed a year ago.

Colorado Periodic Report FAQS

For all Colorado businesses, the cost to file a Colorado periodic report is only $10. Some charity renewal fees may be offered for $1 for a limited time, but if not it will be $10 as well.

The report filing period begins on the first day of the month the business was formed in and then runs for three months. For instance, if your business was formed on April 10, the filing period is from April 1 to June 31. Filing after the three-month period means that you are late.

Under Colorado law, there is a $40 late penalty for failing to file by the deadline.

The Colorado periodic report can be filed by anyone with the authority to do so.

Colorado does send out reminders that your deadline for filing your Colorado Periodic Report is approaching. However, this is only if you have previously signed up for the email reminder service on their website. If you haven’t, you won’t receive any reminders and it will be much easier to fall into noncompliance by forgetting to file. As always, vigilance is important to stay on the right side of regulations.
